Thank you very much. Well, this is an exciting day. And I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge God and thank him for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful event. I must say, I was so excited when I heard about this story, sometime about a year ago. But let me just back up again. Thank you Lieutenant Governor Stratton for being here today. Thank you, all elected officials. Blessings to each and every one of you. And most importantly, thank you to Mr. Bob Hoffer and his wife, who were responsible for this project.

This memorial is a testament to how cities, communities across this country are linked forever in history. We want residents all around the city and the state of Illinois to come and visit this site to learn about the contributions of the veterans and all of the other individuals who are buried here. And the contributions they made on behalf of this great country. We will never forget them.

And once again, I’d like to thank Robert and his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Hoffer, and your tremendous team for all of the work on this wonderful project. And today as we celebrate the rebirth of Moffatt cemetery, God bless you. Thank you all very much for coming today.
